We are thankful for our friends at Be Well Family Care who hosted our January LinkUP! (mentor/mentee gathering). Dr. Swathi and her team were such gracious & generous hostesses.
They taught us the ins and outs of healthy eating on a budget. We ate a delicious & healthy meal together. Many made their own customized meals to take home to their families. And each mentee was gifted with their own baking pan.
Most importantly, we spent a wonderful afternoon in fellowship with some of our longest running mentees. They shared what they’re grateful for in this new year as well as some of their favorite activities we’ve done together:
– The Nutcracker
– Picking flowers and making crowns out of them at Dollie’s Farm
– Playing “Minute to Win It” games at one of our Christmas parties
If any of the above sounds like something you’d like to participate in and you’d like to:
– be part of creating new experiences for our mentees
– take part in fun monthly activities
– pour into the life of a young trafficking survivor
– set an example of someone who cares…
We’d love to talk with you about becoming a mentor and other ways to support the mentorship program through volunteering, sponsoring LinkUP! events and donating items for our gatherings.
