Job Training Program

The purpose of the Allies Job Training Program (JTP) is to help prepare survivors in the Allies Mentorship Program to enter into the workforce through a supportive and trauma-informed environment.

Participants in the Allies JTP will:
  • Commit to participating in a 16 week (3 hrs/week) in-person course working through the Job Ready Indy curriculum* with the support of their mentor, or another trauma-informed volunteer.
  • Have the opportunity for a paid, part-time apprenticeship upon completion of the 16 week program.
  • Upon completion, be certified in 6 badges through the Job Ready Indy curriculum.

Program Details:
  • Dinner will be provided
  • Childcare is offered as needed
  • Mentees who are interested in participating in the program can obtain an application from their coach to fill out with their mentor or coach and submit to both Jessica & Audrey via email.

*Job Ready is a workforce development initiative that aims to validate the attainment of job skills by participants through an online badging system. Job Ready was created through collaboration by Mayor Joe Hogsett, EmployIndy, the Indy Chamber, and various employers and community organizations around Marion County. Participants complete the combined in-person and online curriculum to earn badges in six categories: Mindsets, Self-Management, Learning Strategies, Social Skills, Workplace Skills, and Launch a Career.
