Over the past eight weeks, we’ve revealed to you how Violet has been impacted by the work you make possible at Purchased, Inc. We have shared how many of the programs we offer to the girls we serve and their families, have touched Violet and her mom directly.

With your help and generosity, we can continue to pour into the lives of other girls like Violet through each of the following programs:

ALLIES Mentorship Program – An ally with Purchased builds a relationship based on trust and acceptance with their mentee, which provides a foundation for positive mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical growth.

ALLIES Pen Pal Program – builds a relationship based on trust and acceptance with their assigned youth through consistent supportive letter-writing, which provides a foundation for positive mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical growth.

Job Ready Training – a workforce development initiative that aims to validate the attainment of job skills by participants through an online badging system. Participants complete the combined in-person and online curriculum to earn badges in six categories: Mindsets, Self-Management, Learning Strategies, Social Skills, Workplace Skills, and Launch a Career.

Junior Leadership Board – continue walking alongside the ALLIES Mentorship Program participants (mentees) beyond their mentoring relationship. Participants are invited to join the board only after they’ve met with their mentor consistently for one year or more. The focus of this board is to build leadership skills– allowing junior board members to bring their ideas, expertise and personality to the larger organization. It is the hope that participants would gain both positive adult and peer relationships, have an opportunity to continue practicing learned skills through hands-on experience and use their own creative passion to further the mission of Purchased/Allies.

My Life My Choice – a national model of empowerment for girls and effective education on prevention of sexual exploitation. The curriculum is centered on the goals of changing attitudes and perceptions about the commercial sex industry, improving knowledge about sexual health and substance abuse, and increasing skills that help reduce the risk of exploitation.

Thrive – curriculum specifically designed for parents and guardians of children who have been sexually exploited through trafficking. Thrive is a 10-session curriculum, created and developed by Purchased, that covers a variety of topics centering on the themes of understanding human trafficking and trauma, relationship, and safety in a confidential and non-judgmental group setting with other parents and guardians.

Violet and her mom have been participating in our programs for over two-years. Violet has established bonds which cannot be broken with those of us who have had the privilege of pouring into her. She continues to blossom and has a plan in place for a successful future. With your continued support, we are able to continue to serve Violet and others like her.
